Early Detection Creates More Options
The earlier a leak is detected, the more options are available.
A minor refrigerant leak can often be corrected during scheduled maintenance. The same leak left undetected may develop into a safety issue, production disruption or expensive repair project.
Our gas alarm sensors continuously monitor for refrigerant leaks and are available for both CO₂ and ammonia using the same electronic platform.
The sensors provide a standard 4–20 mA output and support three individually configurable alarm levels, allowing warning and alarm thresholds to be adapted to local requirements.
For CO₂ applications, the detection range covers 0–10,000 ppm and is typically used in machine rooms.
For ammonia systems, four measuring ranges are available:
- 0–100 ppm
- 0–300 ppm
- 0–1,000 ppm
- 0–5,000 ppm
This allows the detection strategy to be matched to both sensitive occupied areas and industrial machinery spaces.
Detection Is Important. Compliance Is Essential.
Even the most reliable gas detection system requires regular inspection.
Testing intervals, calibration requirements and replacement schedules vary between countries and industries.
For that reason, gas detection should always be combined with compliance to local regulations and maintenance procedures.
Technology can improve safety.

Detect More Than Traditional Leaks
Not every refrigerant release occurs through a leaking pipe connection.
Safety valve releases and unexpected gas emissions can also create hazardous situations that require immediate attention.
The STG Leak Detector is designed to detect the presence of refrigerant gases regardless of refrigerant type and can trigger both local and remote alarms when gas concentrations exceed predefined thresholds.
Using Modbus communication, operators gain access to real-time values including:
- Gas Presence %
- Alert Gas Presence %
- Alarm Gas Presence %
Thresholds can be adjusted to match operational requirements, creating a flexible warning system that provides both local awareness and central monitoring.
For applications requiring additional outputs, versions are available with Modbus communication, relay outputs and analog 0–10 V or 4–20 mA signals.
Make Sure Alarms Are Seen and Heard
An alarm is only effective if people notice it.
Our Siren and Flash Light Unit is designed specifically for use with HB Products gas alarm systems and provides both audible and visual warnings when alarm conditions occur.
With up to 105 dB(A) continuous sound output and peak levels reaching 113 dB(A), the unit ensures alarms remain noticeable even in noisy industrial environments.
The integrated high-power LED flash provides a clear visual warning, while three configurable alarm stages help communicate the severity of the situation.
With an IP66 enclosure, the unit is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
Because critical alarms should not depend on ideal conditions.
Monitoring Brine Systems Requires Different Tools
Leak detection is not limited to refrigerant gases.
In secondary refrigeration systems, contamination of water or brine circuits can also indicate system failures that require immediate attention.
The HBPH-C1 Controller is designed for use with the HBPH-MK2-LT sensor and provides continuous monitoring of pH values, enabling early detection of ammonia contamination in water and glycol systems.
Operators can easily configure alarm limits and perform calibration directly from the display.
Available in both panel-mounted and cabinet-mounted versions, the system supports installation across a wide range of industrial environments.
